There should probably be a basement studio or ground-floor unit if I’m going to try to open up a studio. Tenants set the working hours and can complain by knocking on the door because it’s cooperatively owned.

Not all cities will want this kind of business and that’s fine. Not all apartment complexes or tenants will want this either. That’s fine.

I’m not sure if this is legal but in theory if you rent an apartment, your landlord agrees to let there be a cooperative studio rental space in an empty unit - well it’s a cheat code to being able to have rental income if you can’t afford a house? I think? TBD
